The 2010 ARTCRANK MSP Opening Night Party will be held in the spacious confines of Shelter Studios in Northeast Minneapolis on Saturday, April 10. After that, the show will move back to its old stomping grounds at One On One Bike in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis. Participating artists are listed below.

Native American Prints // Field Museum

While at the Field Museum the other day I fell in love with some Native American Prints by artists such as Stan Greene, Joe David, Bill Reid and Roy Henry Vickers. I was not previously aware of this style of illustration (pictured above) but it really reminded me of the Nordic inspired illustration of Sanna-Annukka (pictured below). Even more inspiring were the hundreds of masks they had on display. I'm thinking that a mask inspired poster series is in order. I love the colors and the simplicity.
